Got Questions?
What to expect:
A focused conversation about what brought you in. You’ll share your concerns, symptoms, past experiences with care, and your goals.
A clear diagnostic evaluation. I review your symptoms, history, medications, and day-to-day functioning to pinpoint what’s actually driving your challenges.
Screening that leads to answers. When needed, you’ll complete quick, evidence-based screeners to clarify what’s going on.
A straightforward, actionable plan. Before you leave, you’ll understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and the reasoning behind each recommendation.
Clear expectations for next steps. We outline follow-up timing, monitoring needs, and what to expect moving forward. All tailored to you, your life, and your goals.
Space for every question. Explanations are direct, and jargon-free. If something doesn’t feel right, we adjust the plan together.
For kids and teens. Parents are involved appropriately while still giving children and teens room to speak for themselves. Parent support is provided as needed and appropriate.
Time. Traditionally psychiatric intakes on average are 60 minutes. For clients under 18 years old, those with complex histories, or those with Autism diagnosis I schedule 90 minutes.
If you feel you need a longer appointment please email to schedule your appointment, info@wayfinderpsychiatricwellness.com.
Follow-up appointments are tailored to your goals and needs, which we will discuss.
